I’ve been leasing a car for almost 3 years now, and I love it – personally. But I’m also self employed and able to write a portion of that off on my taxes because I travel often for work! I’d check with your CPA to see which option may benefit you more in the long run. Just be aware that if you drive tons for work, especially long distance, that can bite you in the butt with a lease.

I know some friends that have done this when they sold a previous house and bought a new one! They were then able to invest the money from that cash out into things they needed for the new home, like a roof and new furniture.

Love the idea of this! Definitely going to have to look into it. I’ve for sure saved money from being on Whole30, but that’s just a by product of everything else I’m doing.

I’m definitely not the best at saving! But I find that inadvertent saving, like being on Whole30, has been a great way for me to save more than usual and allow me to make bigger purchases to outfit my house and things of that nature. Where as before I was spending the money on foods and drinks when I have plenty of food and drinks at home!

Couldn’t agree more Kathryn! It’s been such a great journey so far. Can’t wait to see how the next few weeks go.

Coupons, no not in my opinion. But checking the sales for local grocery stores before heading out to shop? For sure!

My friends and I are on Whole30 right now, and we check the ads for all our frequent grocery stops to see where we can pick up staples for cheaper.

Couldn’t agree with this idea more! Such a great concept, and I do the same myself. I think my years in retail made that habit a little easier.

I cut down to basics every season as the weather changes and donate everything I don’t wear/need to a shelter in my area.

Hah, my parents asked me what I wanted yesterday for Christmas and this SERIOUSLY came at the top of the list. That and a few high tickets items like furniture pieces for my new apartment. I think it’s great idea! And it’s something you actually need not want.

Wasn’t ever a rate shopper until recently, but it’s definitely something I’m paying more and more attention to as I get older! You are right though, it’s hard to find a good one.

I think this is a great idea! I’m way too guilty of clicking through and purchasing things that I get in email that I in no way/shape/form actually need or really wanted until I saw it come through my inbox.

Love that the new iOS offers a super easy way to unsubscribe from these emails directly from your inbox!

I’ve never heard of this, but I love the idea of it!

I salute all you parents! Because I can’t even imagine paying for myself + a spouse and kiddos.

Never heard of this mindset, but it definitely makes sense!

I’ve got no advice, but here to say that I’m right there with you! I want to eat everything in sight when I’m traveling.

I’ll admit to being new to this concept, but I think once you figure out the ins/outs of the process it could definitely pay off. eBay to the rescue!
