My parents are really struggling, and we are going to have to step up to help them financially. I don’t really know where to begin. Their only income is from social security, and they do have Medicare. I have a feeling they may be in trouble financially, but they don’t want to talk about it. Has anyone experienced this?

I haven’t, but my in-laws did with their parents and I know it was really difficult. They had them sell their home to generate some cash, which went to paying off any outstanding debt. They then set them up in a very affordable apartment which they could make work with the social security and cash that was leftover from the home. Good luck!
